KC Adams presents new photographic work responding to the highs and lows she experienced during the two years of the covid-19 pandemic. Her austere positioning reflects having to be strong during times of uncertainty. She weaves her braids into symbols of comfort, knowledge and strength to position them across her face as a shield. Adams photographed both pieces in isolation to comment on our collective zeitgeist.
