IINNII, a Lethbridge-based artist-run-centre, proudly presents its inaugural exhibition Perception: Lethbridge featuring the work of contemporary Winnipeg multi-media artist KC Adams.

Perception: Lethbridge is a series of photographic diptychs portraying individuals of First Nations or Metis ancestry from our community. Consisting of seventeen large format photographs, displayed on commercial billboards, public transit, in bus shelters and on CASA’s outdoor digital display throughout the month of September 2016.

The opening for the KC Adams exhibition will take place at CASA on September 10, 2016, 5:00 - 7:00pm with the artist in attendance. All are welcome. The exhibit will be on display from September 1 - 30, 2016.

IINNII endeavours to present and promote an autonomous voice for contemporary Indigenous artists and curators in this region. IINNII operates without a specific space and its ambition is to form partnerships and collaborate with other community organisations. Our goal is to expand the knowledge base of contemporary Indigenous art practice in Lethbridge and surrounds.

Philosophically, IINNII embodies the teachings of the Buffalo and we acknowledge our presence on traditional Blackfoot territory. Membership to IINNII is open to all and new members are invited and welcome. For more information about Perception: Lethbridge, or to inquire about membership or financial support for IINNII contact Joel Cross Child at iinniiarts@gmail.com
